I havent drank in 14 years, because every once in a while, almost unpredictably I get black out drunk, if I had to guess I’d say maybe 1/10 times i drink, but I was a single dad and my son’s mother had died and just decided that’s a risk not worth taking.
She tells me that she’s doing it just to see how he’s doing that’s it. She doesn’t want a friendship or anymore communication after that. It still doesn’t sit right with me the need to do all of that. She reassured me really well, but I just don’t feel comfortable with her doing that. Thanks for responding you’re awesome.
All good. I think it is good you reached out. I know it is tempting to just try and sweep stuff like this under the rug but in the long run even if you love them things like this can represent incompatibilities that can't be overcome.
Please don’t marry this guy. Things will only get worse. So many red flags just in your post and comments – those things don’t magically resolve themselves over time. He’s only going to become more complacent, more of a homebody, take you for granted even more when you are around and want to control you more when you aren’t around. Break up with him and plan yourself an extra nice trip.
