It takes far too much mental and physical strain to chase down your S/O when you're already supposed to be in a loving, committed relationship. It's not worth the stress and anxiety. I'm not saying we can't manage – I managed without cheating but the loss of intimacy is completely ignored in your comment. It matters, we are not machines, we are men and the loss of intimacy, while certainly understandable kind of sucks.
It doesn't excuse cheating, lying, etc but those are symptoms of situations that many men feel. Men's feelings during this time are often out right rejected regarding when they do speak up just the way you're comment outright rejects their totally valid feelings of loss regarding that lost intimacy. Your comment screams that a husband's feelings of loss around the intimacy of his wife are invalid.
I’m going to give me honest opinion which is just how a personally feel; if I was allowed to leave work early and my partner who made two and a half times my salary tried to interfere over 75$/week cause I could take him to dinner I would seriously consider walking away. For me, this would be too petty and controlling and would make me question a whole lot.
