if you are a well educated man, and you are not marrying someone with an equal level of education and earning potential, you are setting yourself up for failure especially if you have children and don't want to split custody 50/50.
Even if you do want to split custody the laws heavily favor women in family courts.
So while we shouldn't expect the worst in people, it really shows how one sided the system is in certain regards when it comes to marriage and divorce laws.
If you marry someone with the same education and earning potential that removes a lot of trouble down the road.
