I believe the issue isn't the test itself but what it represents. If someone is asking for a paternity test it implys they have doubts that the child is not theirs. I can understand this request coming from a fling or a situationship but for it to be asked in an 8 year relationship shows a lack of trust. The moral of the story is do not start a family with someone you can't trust.
Your parents have every right to withdraw their financial support for any reason. Morally it may not be right or they may be spot on but you should take a lot more time before you think of marriage. It’s not because of your age though but because there is no shortage of people out there that have created entire online false personas and lives.
