Oh yeah, my comment was only in reference to the hormone altering birth controls. Though I definitely think it should be a conversation if someone thinks that might be a good option for their sex life with that partner, having a specific kind of birth control as a hard requirement may still make things iffy for OP should he end up with feelings for a woman who is adamant that she will not (or cannot) go on a hormonal birth control in particular. If OP is under the impression that there's only the 2 relatively effective options then he could benefit from a little contraception research session for sure.
