I think I would be too busy to attend any family related events for a very long time. I wouldn't make my partner uncomfortable by taking them along. I would remove myself and my kids from the situation.
He’s a very sweet and loving guy. He’s usually nothing but empathetic and warm especially when I’m upset. And all the times I’ve told him about the surgery he’s been supportive and loving while I’ve cried and been stressed. Most of his family has been healthy with no real major surgeries that I know of.
I really think he forgot. I like to think that if he remembered he’d have checked in properly especially knowing how stressed I’ve been. And it just makes me feel like he didn’t care enough to pay attention
