Could what he said have been frustration that was built up over the course of your relationship. 5 years long distance has got to be some kind of record, because Im sure most wouldn't last that long. Long distance typically means that when you do get to see each other, you can't take your hands off each other. But he can't seem to get over your physical touch limits. Actually yes, that's how adults do it. People normally plan to have kids when they're financially stable. So you can indeed choose to be pregnant and have a kid.
It's not hate you're getting. It's just honestly unfathomable that you'd invite a stranger home to your kids while most parents tell their kids to not even talk to strangers. It's not just a silly mistake, it's extremely poor judgement, and I suspect that wasn't the only instance of it.
