   Online is online. It's never real life. He might be in love with an idea of me, I suppose that's possible. It could be he wrote the letter with the expectation that I'd be comfortable receiving it and would respond with romantic interest, because there's a narrative that he's developed in his head that he wants played out.

   That's a good way of putting it: sympathy at a distance. Being kind but firm and doing what's best for myself, which can include cutting off contact.

7. TLDR: BF quit his full-time job a year ago, and only works part time since then. He makes enough to pay the bills (usually), but has no savings account or contribution to anything beyond that. I am stressed about the future and about stretching myself too thin, I can’t save money anymore due to picking up his slack. He does not see my POV at all and basically says I’m asking for too much. Am I? I just want him to have a full-time job again like me, and be able to contribute equally and save for our future.

8. Yeah this is definitely the vibe I got. I don't need to check in with my friends throughout the day and let them know my every move. I mean I don't do that with my partner either but it's acceptable if it's in a healthy way… Which it is not in this situation anyway.
