2. Np, a lot of people think of marriage as their ultimate goal. If you want to marry but your SO isnt ready for it then you should decide if it is that important for you to be a dealbreaker, and it is wrong for any of the families to try and pressure the SO who isnt ready yet (as it will happen what happened to you, you dont want to do it and they are making your relationship stressful). Obviously communication is a must, you can love someone and not be ready for a commitment that big and that expensive but as long as both of you know it it is completely fine in my opinion.

5. I'm sorry I replied to you specifically. I was responding to all the comments in general saying “how can this be” and “no way” etc. and happened to click yours.

   We all need to drop the disbelief because in most of our fucked up patriarchal cultures, this kind of shit is the norm against women.
