I know this isn’t so much about the pet hair, but Im so tired of people saying “this is serial killer behavior”. Why? Just because one enjoys different things. Genuinely sounds like he's potentially got a whole second life or family that his relatives know about, maybe you're not actually legally married or maybe he has committed fraud in that regard. Regardless it sounds like he's living a double life. I'd go digging for info on his family and show up on their doorstep to find out the truth.
