Don’t worry about it so much. It’s good you stopped yourself from being to pushy. If ypu want to get closer do some activities or pick up a new hobby together you both love. Play a sport like bowling or tennis or basketball or join a team together like softball. If you’re not athletic try a regular trivia night or just something you both like to do that is new.
