As someone in the field, I kind of find it hard to believe that the therapist told her that. Therapists usually do not give advice, they’re not supposed to. Therapists work with clients to help formulate decisions based on the client’s own thinking and processing. A therapist usually wouldn’t say “you should tell him” or “no, you shouldn’t tell him” rather, they would process the scenario, discuss options and what the CLIENT thinks is the best case scenario and what consequences could potentially arise from both options.
Regardless, it doesn’t matter. She still cheated and still a huge breach of trust. Once trust is lost, the relationship is typically doomed.

Your friend is right. 19 might legally be an adult but 18-early 20s is really like Adult Lite. You’ve just recently gained the independence that comes with adulthood and it’s gonna take some time to figure things out and get the life experience it takes to really be an adult.
