Maybe he just worded it in a confusing manner. Sure, I think it's nice in a relationship to share information about plans with a partner, but personally I think that's different than asking them if it's okay to go out with friends. I'm sure OP can clarify for us 🙂
That’s gross that he’s lying to you. I would either say
A) pursue therapy and counseling if this is truly a relationship that you believe is worth saving, or
B) cut your losses and leave now

You deserve exactly that. Bizarre that you even need to point out that you “don’t blame” your male friend. Why would you? You said you kissed him back and it was your mistake. Scummy of both of you if he knew you were dating someone, but still entirely your fault.
Being drunk isn’t an excuse for any actions. If you can cheat on somebody just because you’re drunk then you aren’t responsible enough to either A.) be getting blackout drunk or B.) be dating somebody. Probably both.
All you can do now is work on moving on and be better in the future. If he does reach out I doubt it’ll be wanting to get back together. He’d never be able to trust you drinking again and this wasn’t even a year into the relationship. Good on him.
Ahhh dating at this age is a lot of teaching life skills to adolescent men .. one good thing about getting older is I’m no one’s teacher !
However it looks like you may have to be his on this one,
He’s what I would do -Get him some body wash YOU like and take a shower with him scrub him up tell him how nice and sexy it is, really relish in the soap scrubby time and bubbles let him know it’s sexy to smell clean through that.
Maybe next week toss a mouth wash container in there or on the counter and catch him in the bathroom and be liek “do this with me” then after the spit out give him a big long make out kiss with a big smile at the end!!
( then u don’t have to break the news that it’s super NOT sexy to smell bad lol!)

Uhhh you guys don’t live in the NYC area do you? Because I actually have a colleague who does this and we are all completely habituated to just handing our plates over after we are done eating. In my case we’ve been working together for years so I definitely don’t think anything of it, I just hand it over. Less food waste for the landfill!
