1. Ask yourself this: When you meet someone new, e.g. at work, that you think you would like to befriend, do you text with them 24/7 and hang out with them all the time to make that happen?

   Maybe it's because I'm slightly older, or maybe it's just me as a person who is different, but that alone sounds a little extreme to me. Doesn't your boyfriend have anything else to do with his free time? Hobbies he likes to engage in? Other friendships he would like to put an effort into (re)growing?

   It's impossible for any of us here to say whether he is or isn't engaging in inappropriate behaviour, but I think you are most likely to find your answer in the fact that you just don't know him well enough yet. 6 months is really not a long time, and even if you apparently already trust him enough to live with him and want to support him through school, there are still plenty of things you have yet to discover about him–and maybe some of those things involve problems with maintaining healthy boundaries.
