If she is barely learning English at a later stage in her life, the language barrier may be tougher on her than you think. English is her second language and concepts, words, and ideas may not make complete sense yet. My parents are Asian immigrants and although they know enough basic English, difficult words still fly over them and sometimes they'll take a literal meaning instead of a figurative/metaphor/euphemism/etc. This is even after learning English 30 years ago.
The things you listed in your bullet points don't seem so bad. Everyone is bad at geography. If it's crucial for you, then welp, but if it isn't, then I don't see the fuss. Now, I'm not saying that she could be clueless and golden, but like I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt of the America in Europe thing. Maybe it was the way it was phrased to her. I sometimes have to explain things multiple times to my parents and even though it bothers me, I just learned to have patience.
The way I see things because you're questioning the long term stuff: if these things REALLY bother you, you're going to have to figure out if things are going to improve in the short term if you want to stay. You seem to love her, hate her bouts of codependency, and just seem to be losing patience because of a language and potential knowledge barrier, but if you're worried like this already and don't see it improving, you should cut your losses. There's no point in trying to exert this much energy and love if you don't have the patience for her and she deserves someone who is willing to care and figure things out with her.
