This situation sounds dreadful. Do you really want this to be your forever? I don’t think you’re compatible. Break up and find your happy elsewhere. It’s sad, and you probably are holding to happier times, but those are gone. Don’t waste the rest of your 20s miserable.
I (48f) stayed in an unhealthy marriage far too long. It’s harder to leave when you’re married with kids. I did reconnect with an old hs friend a few years ago and it’s amazing how good a healthy relationship feels! We got married 4 yrs ago and have sex a few times a week. Can’t keep our hands off each other. We don’t argue. We lift each other up. I also need words of love and affirmation and he does too. We need touch and affection and we have that in abundance. (My ex HATED being touched- like even hugged)
Figure out your next steps, and make plans to leave. You can’t live like this.
Update: I’ve decided to talk to him further and put a date on it. If he doesn’t have a job by the end of this month (it’s April 1st today) then we need to break up.
