1. As much as I think it is shitty to punish the innocent kid how is this family not punishing that poor little girl by allowing her dad and his new family to get to play house right in front of her? I hate to say it but I think it was just disrespectful he (more so wife and kids but I think if your married if one is going all are going) were even invited if OP and her niece are so involved in their lives and spend every Christmas together, why should she have to suffer because your cheating brother wants a change?

2. Not sure when you’re being downvoted. You’re exactly right. Don’t take someone for a ride when you know how you feel isn’t the truth. If you’re not ready to say how you feel, don’t marry them and have kids with them hoping the feelings will go.

4. That is classic gas lighting to blame you for being upset at his toxic behavior. He wants you to be in the dark and confused. Some guys (well some people) will try to make you feel like the bad guy in order to stop you from asking questions or finding out that they're up to no good.

   I think you're right to be suspicious. What is this game he's playing?

   If he's not hooking up with girls, maybe he's trying to look he does?

   Or maybe he is doing that.

   Either way, this doesn't sound very promising going forward.

   This isn't a strong foundation of mutual love, respect, and trust upon which to lay the foundation for a future together.
