I disagree, I think clear communication is the bedrock of any healthy relationship. We are in a monogamous relationship and we both talk about boundaries often. Its not about control, its about mutual respect.
I'm not disagreeing with you in that op should focus on herself but, often women who are domestic abuse survivors find a new partner quickly because they were emotionally checked out for a long time before they actually get the strength to physically leave their abuser. I would also very much like say finding a new partner can be a great way to not let you get back with the abuser. A lot of the time in these situations it the abuser is trying to get the person back but if they have a new partner to help them and lean on there's a much higher chance she won't get back with her ex. New guy (probably) isn't abusive and if she doesn't like him it'll be a lot safer to leave new guy than fight ex on her own.
It’s so controlling to even suggest that he should be allowed to spy on her, for lack of a better word, because that’s what it is. She’s a grown woman and doesn’t need to be supervised because he’s an insecure shit.
Don’t feel awful. That sounds pretty uncomfortable. I think your guy is going to defend his twin cause that’s just what twins do, and that doesn’t invalidate the fact that his twin is a creep.
That being said, recognize that creepy bro is a package deal with your bf. He isn’t going anywhere and your bf likes it that way. Can you actually handle that long term?

“I don’t know if this is worth leaving him over”. JFC? What is going on in your life that this is even a question?
Speak to him. It’s a bit strange.
This!

She says that she is embarrassed to go. I mentioned in a another comment why does she think she has it.
