At 8 months? You should be suspicious. When my ex and I started dating, we fucked like rabbits for the first year. Then it started to decline until it stopped around 19 months(she no longer wanted to fuck me). Aside from a quickie 7 months before she left me, we never fucked again. We were together for 7 years.
A dead bedroom is often a symptom of something else in the relationship. In my ex's case, she didn't feel close to me the way you do a longterm partner. And in the end we weren't compatible anymore. But instead of cutting me loose like most people would, she strung me along for years until she found someone else because she's afraid of being alone.
I loved my ex more than anything. But looking back, I regret not dumping her 4 or 5 years before she dumped me. Despite how well we got along. Don't stick around if your needs aren't being met. You'll regret not ending things sooner when it eventually does end.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think it's unreasonable to yell at someone for being so drunk that they split a coffee table in half (??). I think it's more unreasonable to expect a calm, rational response to being disrespected to that degree in the most absurd and irrational way possible. Unsafe because you yelled? Are you supposed to feel safe with someone so trashed that they broke your property? Not to make it tit for tat, but your guilt here is unwarranted. If he's extremely opposed to yelling but yelling is actually what made him get help, I don't know how to piece that together in a way where I would trust this person at all.

It's great to recognize insecurities and to work on them. In the same vein it's important to identify when your partner can have an unhealthy obsession with something. There is a very fine line with porn and for some people it's a big problem.
