thank you. this comment is so thoughtful and kind I had to take some time to process it. I think you pretty much laid out most of the arguments. I was in therapy, and I pretty much came to the same conclusions. but making the step and being the bad person is not something I can do. I’m okay with either adoption or being just an aunt, but he is going to be destroyed. we raised these issues together several times before, and he is just mortally afraid of losing me. and I’m pretty much lost already I think. this is sad.
